And Aaaiiiiaaiiiee will always love Yoouuu!

What can I say, I've never seen 'The Bodyguard' but I can still make jokes...

Well I said my Bokur was almost finished yesterday and now he's done. The face isn't particulary captured well in the atrocious pics but it is the part I'm most proud of, particularly the expression.

A really enjoyable sculpt to paint and easy to paint into the beaten and worn bodyguard look, I did have to replace the haft of the polearm so that was a bit more work than I was looking for but it would have survived without it. What can I say, I hate having painted models break.

Excuse the smear of paint on the back of the base, didn't see it until I was running out the door for work this morning. Still struggling with an arc marking concept thats bright enough to serve the purpose. I was reminded why I paint bright arc markings this morning when I got a wolf rider in what I thought was the back of a swamp gobber only for the other player to point out little inconspicuous lines on the base that were half off the head of the gobber.

This or this is a real arc marking IMO, something that you can't fail to notice but still looks like it compliments the miniature its used on. Unfortunately I think adding more yellow on the base would only overpower the model.

Bad Jokes aside, fun model. I've scored a 6 man unit of Forge Guard and Thor in a trade so really looking forward to them.

Until next time,

Play Like You Have a Pair.

Damn, you're painting this fast even by your standards ;)

When are you going to pick up Durgen for Guardcon? (Or another agenda lol)

Nice work on ya mercs. As for your arcs I think the hazzard stripes could work rather well.

I broke and spent up on Searforge today...

I'm Weak, paint what you have before you buy more was never going to last long. Hopefully I have enough to play decent sized games now though.

@Ash: I'm not a very bog fan of arc markings that cover the whole front and take away from the model, the sludge is just dull enough to not hurt the Cryx models IMO but weathering takes time and beating up the arc markings on a full army would kill me.

If you can think of a way to restrict the Hazard stripes I'm all ears though.

Nice Bokur, he looks mean. I wouldn't want to meet him in a mk1 dark alley at night.

Indeed I can see the problem with painting up the front arc now that I have had a look myself and you do have to think about it. I still have to paint up my arcs but since I play just friendly games it's never been an issue.
I thought I have had is looking at doing a thin line at the top of the base edge and use a colour that is clear but not to stand right out, a metalic might work or maybe try an arrow like in the second example but paint it up like warning light or something.
